One problem after the other…

I thought I was going to my LBS a little too close from the closure time so I went there by car instead of by foot…

That was a bad idea…

I had so much trouble getting the bicycle in and out of the car that my GPS holder got stuck in a weird position.

When I tried to get it unstuck you can guess what happened…

Crack!

The GPS holder is no more…

I am, at least temporarily, using my  new bicycle phone holder/cradle with the My Tracks Android application until I decide what I will do, buy a new GPS holder or move on to My Tracks or something similar…

I love the additional stats that My Tracks gives me but I miss the lot more readable GPS screen, the possibility of exploring places I know less knowing the GPS will guide me back home and having the  GPS give me an ETA when I provide it with a destination.

And that is not even taking into account the joy of being guided by KITT… 😉

What I like less above the GPS is the space it takes on my bicycle’s handlebar (when it is in place there is not much usable space left) and the fact that it does not really take into account that I am riding a bicycle in its recommendations…

Now the space issue could be partially addressed by getting a slightly longer handlebar when I replace the current IsoZone one (something which I want to do, see Future Upgrades) so that could be a moot point.

I also like less that the shipping cost of the adapter I had bought has become somewhat prohibitive to ship to my location,  it would cost me a lot more to have it shipped here than the price of the item itself…

I am still undecided…

Keep on cycling…
